Current Position:
I studied at multiple colleges and universities leading to my becoming a Kindergarten teacher at our very own Greenway Elementary School in 2006. I, then, taught 2nd grade for ten years before transitioning to 5th grade in 2018.
Previous Position:
I have been teaching in one form or another since I was 12 years old. Catechism classes on Fort Huachuca was my first foray into teaching. I, also, spent many years as a Water Safety Instructor teaching swimming to students ages 6 months to 85 years: from water proofing babies to water aerobics for seniors. While working for state government, I was a subject matter expert, and, as such, taught many courses for members of the department. I have also taught substance abuse classes for adults, and character education courses for juvenile offenders.
Family Information:
I was born an Army Brat in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. I lived in various places around the country due to my father being a member of the United States Army. My time in upstate New York on living on a dairy farm was a very memorable part of my childhood. My father’s last duty station was Fort Huachuca. I attended Fort Huachuca Accommodation Schools and Sierra Vista Public Schools here in Cochise County. I met my husband through work – we married in 1990. We now live just south of Bisbee with our two sons, two cats, and one dog.
