REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS

“FOR” OR “AGAINST” THE SPECIAL BUDGET OVERRIDE ELECTION

BISBEE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2

Bisbee Unified School District No. 2 of Cochise County, Arizona (the “District”), will hold a
special 10% maintenance and operation budget override election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The
total 10% budget override amount for the first year of the proposed continuation is estimated to be
$563,074 and would be funded in that year by an estimated $0.81 tax rate per one hundred dollars of net
assessed valuation used for secondary property tax purposes which is approximately equal to the current
secondary tax rate for the existing budget override. The Cochise County School Superintendent will be
preparing an informational pamphlet that will be mailed to households containing one or more registered
electors within the District. Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the proposed
10% budget override (not to exceed 200 words) may do so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to
the Cochise County School Superintendent’s office, 4001 E. Foothills Dr., Suite A, Sierra Vista, AZ
85635; telephone: (523) 803-3380.
To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must be received in the office of the
Cochise County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., August 7, 2026. Such argument must be
signed and include the name of the District, the author’s name, the name of any entity submitting an
argument, address and telephone number. If the argument is submitted by an organization, it shall contain
the sworn statement of two executive officers of the organization.  If the argument is submitted by a
political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee's chairperson or treasurer.  If
the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or
any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. The entity and
author’s name will be printed in the informational pamphlet. The last day to register to vote in order to be
eligible to vote in this election is Monday, October 5, 2026. For more information concerning the

“A FAVOR” O “EN CONTRA” DE LA ELECCIÓN ESPECIAL PARA EL AUMENTO AL

PRESUPUESTO

DISTRITO ESCOLAR UNIFICADO NÚM. 2 DE BISBEE

El Distrito Escolar Unificado Núm. 2 de Bisbee del Condado de Cochise, Arizona (el “Distrito”),
celebrará una elección especial para el aumento de un 10% al presupuesto de mantenimiento y
operaciones el martes 3 de noviembre de 2026. El importe total de un 10% de aumento al presupuesto
para el primer año de la continuación propuesta se estima que será de $563,074 y sería financiado durante
ese año por una tasa de impuestos estimada de $0.81 por cien dólares de la valoración tasada neta que se
utiliza para propósitos de impuestos secundarios sobre la propiedad, que aproximadamente es un monto
igual a la tasa de impuestos secundaria actual para el aumento al presupuesto existente. El
Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Cochise preparará un folleto informativo que se enviará por
correo a los hogares que cuenten con uno o más electores registrados dentro del Distrito. Cualquier
persona que desee presentar un argumento “a favor” o “en contra” del aumento al presupuesto en un 10%
propuesto (no debe exceder de 200 palabras) puede enviar el argumento por servicio postal o entregarlo
en persona en la oficina del Cochise County School Superintendent, 4001 E. Foothills Dr., Suite A, Sierra

Para que el argumento sea incluido en el folleto informativo, este debe recibirse en la oficina del
Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Cochise a más tardar el 7 de agosto de 2026, a las 5:00 p. m.
Dicho argumento debe firmarse e incluir el nombre del Distrito, el nombre del autor, el nombre de
cualquier entidad que presente un argumento, la dirección y número de teléfono. Si el argumento es
presentado por una organización, deberá contener la declaración jurada de dos directores ejecutivos de la
organización. Si el argumento es presentado por un comité político, deberá contener la declaración jurada
del presidente o tesorero del comité. Si el argumento es presentado por una persona y no en nombre de
una organización, un comité político o algún otro grupo, la persona deberá presentar el argumento con
una declaración jurada notariada. El nombre del autor y la entidad se imprimirán en el folleto informativo.
El último día para registrarse para sufragar, con el fin de ser elegible para votar en esta elección, es el
